Teaching philosophy

In this section am I going to talk about my personal philosophies such as standards, morals, and teaching etiquette.

When I think about my career plan, I always knew I wanted to educate young minds and shape young people into young adults ready to be taken on their own paths and adventures. Over the time of own education journey, I’ve thought hard about different teaching jobs and career paths I would like to do, i.e., secondary, or primary teaching. Since a young age I had always dreamed about being a primary teacher and when I had my own child, I just really knew that’s what I wanted to do. Watching and supporting him through every milestone and helping him meet new ones was just so rewarding to watch. I think having a supportive figure, who encourages you to thrive and helps to achieve any goal the child is working towards is super important in the child’s learning. I am a firm believe that the more nurture you give a child the more they will flourish and go on to be successful.

As an aspiring primary school teacher, I strongly believe that education should be a positive, engaging, and empowering experience for children.

My philosophy centres around creating a safe and inclusive learning environment where children can explore, question, and discover their passions. I believe that every child has unique strengths and needs, and it is my responsibility as a teacher to recognise and cater to them.

In my classroom, I strive to foster a culture of respect, kindness, and empathy. I believe that it is essential to teach children not only academic subjects but also social and emotional skills that will help them thrive in their future endeavours.

I believe that learning should be a collaborative process between the teacher and the students. I encourage active participation and engagement, where children are encouraged to express their ideas and opinions freely. I am committed to creating personalized and meaningful learning experiences that align with the children's interests and abilities.

So I would say my philosophy is centred around creating a positive, inclusive, and empowering learning environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential.
